We welcome your tax deductible support

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

We have been conducting conferences for 32 years. Our mission is to provide the highest quality continuing education for healthcare providers. Many participants have written describing how our conferences have enriched their lives personally and professionally.

We are a non-profit 501c3 organization and all donations are tax deductible. We have relied solely on registration fees to fund our conferences. We have neither sought nor received money from pharmaceutical companies or any other commercial support. We want to remain free to offer the best presentations possible without outside influences affecting our choices.

We  ask you to consider a contribution to help us expand our efforts in two ways. We would like to provide more scholarships, and add renowned speakers who will add to the already high quality of the speakers we have been privileged to have present at our conferences.

We would like to invite people like Eric Kandel MD, Nobel Laureate for his work in neuroscience, especially on memory. We highly recommend his book: The Age of Insight: The Quest to Understand the Unconscious in Art, Mind, and Brain, from Vienna 1900 to the Present. Shiela Faye Simpkins of Nashville, TN, is another person we would like to invite. She escaped from the world of sex trafficking and now leads a movement to attack this problem. One of her personal goals is “to be the world’s best mom.” Speakers such as Dr. Kandel and Ms. Simpkins would add another dimension to what we offer. We would like to be able to provide them with honoraria and expenses.

We would like to offer more scholarships. Each year we receive hundreds of applications for the Mary Lou Panter Scholarship. Many of the applicants deserve the financial assistance the scholarship provides. Many of the applicants work with schools or provide services to people who are underserved in many ways: education, mental health services, etc. The knowledge and inspiration that the scholarship winner receives often is shared with a wide group of young people in their communities.

We welcome and would appreciate your suggestions for prominent speakers who would deepen and broaden our programs.
