We are pleased to announce our plans for an extraordinary, once in a lifetime conference on October 5-21, 2018 in Australia and New Zealand. Our conference will bring medicine and art together in a unique way that will enhance your understanding of the life issues with which artists struggle and enhance your appreciation and understanding of their achievements. There will be lecture presentations by physicians, psychologists and other mental health professionals who have studied the creative process and intrapsychic forces that drive the artist to create.


Our first night in the hotel will be October 7, 2018. To arrive in Queenstown on the seventh, most flights leave the United States on October 5th. Our conference will include the following: 

4 nights at the Hilton overlooking Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown New Zealand. We’ll cruise on the incredible Milford Sound, considered by many to be the eighth wonder of the world. We also will enjoy a boat trip to a sheep-shearing ranch

4 nights at  the Sir Stamford Hotel in Sydney, Australia. Enjoy a cruise of the Sydney Harbor; Sydney city tour, which will take us to Bondi beach; the botanical gardens are across the street from our hotel. As an option walk across the Sydney Harbor Bridge for the adventure and amazing views of the harbor and this beautiful city.

2 nights at Sails in the Desert at Ayers Rock, the magnificent iconic Uluru. Enjoy an amazing "Sound of Silence Dinner" in the famous Australian outback under a blanket of stars. An experienced astronomer will talk about and point out the stars and constellations of the southern hemisphere.  This will be a thrilling highlight of an already special trip. 

4 nights at the Shangri-La Hotel at the Marina in Cairns, Australia. A day outing to the Great Barrier Reef for snorkeling, sunbathing, scuba diving or simply to enjoy the sightseeing.  An exciting ride on the SkyRail Gondola which passes over a rainforest to the art village of Kuranda. 

Please note our return to the United States is October 21st.

The hotels where we will reside have a 5-star rating (*****).

Also included are: All breakfasts in the hotels; lecture presentations for 18 hours of continuing education; coach transportation as needed for transfers, excursions, city tours and other group activities; baggage handling and complete Welcome and Farewell dinners.

Optional activities and sites: the Sydney zoo with its koalas and kangaroos and the walk across the top of the Sydney Harbor Bridge for an adventure and amazing views.

Note that the conference fee does not include: Airfare, any passport or visa fees, incidental charges at the hotels, and meals not mentioned above.

There will be time for sightseeing, shopping, relaxing and flexibility built into the schedule. We also will arrange as options for dinners at some of the finest restaurants and as available, opera, concerts and ballet tickets.

The registration cost is $7,495.00 per person for double occupancy. Single supplement is $2,395. (We have a limited number of single rooms so register soon!)

Cancellation Policy and Fees: Upon booking = $1,000 per person; up to 90 days prior = 25% of the land costs; up to 60 days prior = 50% of the land costs; 59 days prior = no refunds on land costs.
