Bold in the Face of Change: The Case for Art, Community, Ospreys, and Healing Our Planet

Pamela Lowell, a licensed clinical social worker, and author of four books, including the most recent, My Summer with Ospreys, has spent the past forty years as an expert in healing trauma, working in a variety of settings as a clinician, consultant, and clinical director and trauma training specialist at a minority-owned not-for-profit agency which treats adolescents with significant mental health challenges. She practices evidence-based trauma therapies such as EMDR and IFS in her work. A “crossover” artist, who paint, writes, and does therapy, is happy to report that all these disciplines are informed and enhanced by the creative process. She has presented numerous workshops on trauma, adoption, and parenting.
